Celebrating a decade of Speak values

Marking our 10th year annual Values Walk, we took an autumnal stroll through Richmond to reflect on our core beliefs.

Every year since the agency was founded back in 2011, the Speak team has ventured into the great outdoors to discuss what makes Speak, well, Speak.

We’ve tiptoed over stepping stones across the River Mole and scaled Box Hill in the North Downs; visited the Denbies Vineyard in Surrey on one of the hottest days of the year; communed with deer on the Tamsin Trail in Richmond; and eaten a lot of good food in a lot of good pubs. All while reflecting on how our we’re living our values of ambition, collaboration, energy and curiosity.

For our 10th walk, we returned for a second time to beautiful Richmond Park, where we strolled through an autumnal landscape from the station to the historic Ham House on the banks of the River Thames, ending the day with a late lunch at Gaucho Richmond.

We’ve recently gone through a period of growth and this was a first-time experience for newer members of the team – including marketing executive Amie Johnson, production assistant Ellie Gascoigne and junior content producer Sarah McGrath.

Reflecting on the day, Amie said: "It was great to have a discussion with the team and really understand what makes Speak the differentiator in the future of corporate content. Also, it was interesting to see how the Speak values compare to my own personal values and how I fit into the team."
